CBI 5 The Brain Teaser: Mammootty’s swag is unmatched as he returns as Sethurama Iyer

CBI 5 The Brain teaser dropped and it had left fans excited. This is the fifth instalment in the CBI film franchise. Mammootty returns as CBI officer Sethurama Iyer with a bang. The teaser also features Jagathy and Sreekumar who are also playing CBI officers. The previous were all successful and CBI 5 The Brain also looks promising.

In the teaser, we see Mammootty as Sethurama Iyer’s entry with his signature walk and he will apparently investigate the deaths of Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi. The narration talks about the assassinations of the Gandhi family members. It says Sanjay Gandhi was killed in a plane crash, Indira Gandhi was assassinated by the Khalistan terrorists and Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by a suicide bomber. The CBI officers are trying to find out the clue connected to the murders. If there is a common element or an enemy is what the CBI will investigate and it will be intriguing to watch. Well, Nothing much is yet revealed in the teaser.

CBI 5 The Brain also stars Renji Panicker, Sai Kumar, Soubin Shahir, Mukesh, Ramesh Pisharadi, Anoop Menon and Dileesh Pothen among others.

Directed by K Madhu, it is set to release in theatres. The release date is yet to be announced. The first film of the franchise came in 1988 with Oru CBI Diary Kurippu. In 1989, the sequel came titled Jagratha. The third instalment, Sethurama Iyer CBI, came in 2004 and the fourth titled Nerariyan CBI was released in 2005.
