Television actor and comedian Rakesh Poojary, winner of Season 3 of the reality show Comedy Khiladigalu, died due to cardiac arrest at a pre-wedding ceremony in Nitte near Udupi. According to family sources, he passed away late Sunday night at the age of 34.
Rakesh Poojary Dies At 34 During Mehendi Ceremony
Poojary collapsed during a mehendi function and was declared dead shortly thereafter. The news of his untimely demise has shocked the Kannada television and film fraternity, with several actors and industry colleagues expressing their condolences. His last rites will be performed in his hometown of Karkala, family members said.
Rakesh danced enthusiastically and celebrated with family and friends, displaying a positive attitude throughout the occasion. However, a few moments later, he gripped his chest, moaned in discomfort, and passed out. Fans are startled and devastated after a video of him dancing and then abruptly grabbing his chest went viral on social media.
He reportedly died on the way to the hospital, despite efforts to get him there. Physicians verified that he experienced a serious cardiac arrest. Rakesh had no known significant health problems, thus both colleagues and fans were shocked by his unexpected passing.

Poojary was born in Karkala in the Udupi district. He was the son of Dinkar Poojary and Shambhavi. In addition to acting in several other television and movie productions, he gained fame for his part in the Kannada television series Hitler Kalyana.
