On June 22, Trisha posted an image on Instagram showing her sitting beside Vijay on a sofa. In the photo, the Tamil star was playfully interacting with her pet dog Izzy, while Trisha looked at him warmly.

She captioned the post, “Happy Birthday, bestest.” The comment section quickly filled with fans expressing their belief that the two might be dating in real life. Although they have remained colleagues for years, netizens seem to read more into their off-screen chemistry than what’s apparent.

During an event for their film Leo, Vijay left Trisha blushing when he referred to her as a princess. He said, “I’m sure you all know who I’m talking about. Everyone will show hands like this (normal wave), but she alone will show like that (princess wave). I’m sure you all have noticed it. Yes, it is our princess Kundavai. Best wishes, Trisha.”
