Ahead of Liger release, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday pay tribute to Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar, see PICS

Actor Vijay Deverakonda is currently on a promotional spree with Ananya Panday for their upcoming movie Liger. They are in Bengaluru to promote the pan-India film. Vijay with his co-star Ananya visited powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s memorial in Bengaluru today to pay respects and offer prayers. Pics from their visit to Puneeth’s samadhi (located within the premises of Kanteerava stadium) have gone viral on social media.

Puneeth Rajkumar passed away due to cardiac arrest on October 29 last year. He was just 46. Not only the Kannada film industry, but other film industries mourned his demise. Earlier, celebs like Allu Arjun, Kamal Haasan, Ram Charan, Jr NTR among others came down to pay their respects and also offered condolences to the family of the superstar.

It was last week, when it was announced that late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar will be conferred with State’s highest civilian honour Karnataka Ratna at the Kannada Rajyotsava ceremony on November 1. Puneeth Rajkumar aka Appu will be the 10th recipient of the Karnataka Ratna, which is the state’s highest civilian honour.

Talking about Vijay and Ananya’s film Liger, it also stars Mike Tyson, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Vishu Reddy among others. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is slated to release in theatres on August 25 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
