Vijay Thalapathy Panics While Cycling During Election Campaign
The video shows Vijay and his security team mistaking the gesture for a possible threat, perhaps an explosive device. In a quick reaction, Vijay and his bodyguards rush to protect him, with Vijay hurriedly discarding his cycle onto the road. A car swiftly arrives to shield him as he is escorted into a vehicle for safety.

The clip has gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online. Some users found humour in the incident, joking that it’s “meme material,” while others defended Vijay. One fan commented, “Sorry, the video isn’t funny, but the background music made it seem like a comedy scene. The person threw the garland like a bomb; anyone would have been scared.” Another added, “Just look at the crowd gathering. They could have choked him.”

Jana Nayagan Leaked Online
Meanwhile, Vijay’s final film before entering politics, Jana Nayagan, is embroiled in controversy. The film, which faced delays due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), was further troubled when parts of it were leaked online last week. On Tuesday, Coimbatore police arrested a cable operator for illegally broadcasting the film on a local TV channel, as reported by The Hindu.
Amidst the controversy, the film’s director, H. Vinoth, took to Instagram to appeal to Vijay’s fans not to share the leaked footage. Several prominent industry figures, including Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Vishnu Manchu, and Suriya, condemned the act and urged audiences to refrain from circulating pirated content.
About Jana Nayagan
Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The official release date has not yet been announced, but it’s expected to hit theatres in May or June 2026.
