‘Baarish 2’: Sharman Joshi reveals interesting story behind Asha Negi’s first onscreen kiss with him

Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi are currently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Baarish’. In this ALT Balaji series, they play a couple and in the show’s second season they had to shoot some intimate scenes. Despite working since so long in the television industry, Asha shot for her first on-screen kiss in ‘Baarish 2’. The actress had shared about her awkwardness and now Sharman has opened up about their kissing scene.

In a Zoom chat session with the media, Sharman opening up about Asha’s nervousness about the kissing scene said, “Asha was very uncomfortable but thankfully Priya Banerjee (their co-star) was there that day and she told her ‘you calm down, you are possibly making Sharman also uncomfortable.”

He further added, “I have done a few kissing scenes before. Initially when I had to do the kissing scene and I thought I will have to be chivalrous and make the lady comfortable, but the ladies were so comfortable with themselves. Woh log itne comfortable the ki I became awkward. In Asha’s case, it was nice ki woh itni uncomfortable thi, that I got to play the man in command or control.”

Earlier talking about the lip-lock scenes, Asha had told Telly Chakkar, “It was my first on-screen kiss, I was quite shy and awkward before rolling. I remember my director and Sharman were all comforting me as it was my first ever lip-lock onscreen.”
