Ekta Kapoor is preparing to return with a new season of one of her most famous shows, Pavitra Rishta. ALTBalaji, the producer published a few photos of the Pavitra Rishta 2.0 cast on its social media accounts in July. Fans were overjoyed and delighted to see photos from the first day of the shoot, which included Ankita Lokhande, Shaheer Sheikh, and the other cast members. Ekta also released Ankita’s boomerang video and said that the show has begun after being in the planning for a year.

Now, Ekta Kapoor has shared a special video on her social media to announce that Pavitra Rishta 2.0 would be released this Ganesh Utsav. The programme will be published on an OTT platform this time around, with Ankita reprising her role as Archana Deshmukh and Shaheer Sheikh taking on the character of Manav Deshmukh. The video, which Kapoor uploaded on her Instagram account, transports viewers back to the start of the first season, which premiered on television on June 1st, 2009.

Throughout the show’s six-year run, the footage included all of the Ganesh Chaturthi events. It also reveals glimpses of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Hiten Tejwani, who played Manav on the programme in his place. We discover at the conclusion of the video that the show will be streamed shortly from this Ganesh Utsav when the words  SEPTEMBER 2021 Iss Ganesh Utsav Hogi Uss Pavitra Rishte Ki Nayi Shuruwat appear on the screen.

Ekta shared the video and wrote, “GANPATI BHAPPA MAURYA Coming soon! To new beginnings #pavitrarishta coming soon on @zee5premium n then after few days on @altbalaji!(sic)”

Pavitra Rishta initially aired on Zee TV from 2009 until 2014. It starred Ankita in the major role with the late Sushant Singh Rajput. However, Rajput left the programme in 2011 to pursue a career in Bollywood. According to reports, Ekta and Ankita would pay respect to Sushant’s legacy in the upcoming season.
