Actor Dipika Kakar recently shared a vlog on her YouTube channel where she revealed to have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Dipika who is in her final trimester revealed that she has gestational diabetes and has been taking proper medicines.

Talking about the same, the Sasural Simar Ka was heard saying in the group, “I have been given proper medicines. I have been told to make a few lifestyle changes and also bought a machine to test my sugar level after every meal. I did a gestational challenge test.

Dipika explains Gestational diabetes:

Shoaib Ibrahim’s wife also explained the definition of Gestational diabetes to her viewers. She said, “It is a type of diabetes that develops in 24-28 weeks of pregnancy. Even if someone doesn’t have diabetes prior to pregnancy, they can also develop. There is a potential risk of developing during this time of pregnancy. In the recent reports, my blood sugar level was quite high“.

Dipika Kakar further explained, “I kept thinking if I ate more mango, rice or sweets. But it also made me think that I would eat everything after consulting my doctor. It is very normal. Gestational diabetes doesn’t happen according to what you ate in the last months. As the baby and placenta grow, it releases many hormones. These hormones cause insulin resistance, which is why you develop gestational diabetes. Many pregnant women develop this and I also developed“.

Earlier, during her pregnancy announcement, Dipika revealed suffered a miscarriage in the 6th week of pregnancy.

Moreover, only recently, the Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum actor was also spotted outside a hotel where the heavily pregnant Dipika was struggling to climb down the stairs. However, Shoaib like an adorable husband was seen holding her hand and helping her. Netizens found his gesture too cute.
