Madalsa Sharma Reveals Director Asked Her To Wear A Bikini To Check Her ‘Body Language’
In an interview on The Male Feminist podcast, Madalsa recounted the incident when a director made an uncomfortable request. She said, “A well-known filmmaker had invited me for a meeting when I was around 19. He mentioned he was looking for a girl comfortable in a bikini. I thought, honestly, it’s no big deal… so I agreed, but I wanted to understand the story—whether the scene was justified or if it was just a different angle. Even at 19, I was smart.”
She continued, “The director then said he wanted to see if I could wear a bikini and observe my body language—whether I’d be comfortable doing it on camera. I told him, ‘I am an actor, and if a scene requires me to wear a bikini, saree, or lehenga, I am willing to do it because that’s my job. But wearing it in front of you is not part of my job! If you want to trust my talent, that’s fine. If not, I know where the door is!’”
Madalsa then walked out of the situation, refusing to entertain the director’s demands. She later found out, a few days later, that the same director was dating the actress who ultimately got the role.
