Today we came across the news of Mahira Sharma being accused of forging a Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award. Mahira posted on her Instagram story showcasing that she has received the certificate of appreciation for being the ‘Most Fashionable Contestant of Bigg Boss 13’ at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2020. Later DPIFF officials released a statement on their Instagram handle and accused Mahira of forging the award and called her ‘fraud’.

The DPIFF officials called this ‘immoral’ and ‘distasteful’ attempt by Mahira. The team also issued an intimation letter asking Mahira to take down all the misleading PR activities and had also asked her to share a written public apology to the brand. Now, Mahira has reacted to it by giving a clarification on the entire fiasco.

Sharing the statement, she wrote, “Okay so the world has been talking about it since last night, here is my reply which is 100 percent true and honest”.

In the statement, she wrote, “I would like to inform that I didn’t forge any award and would never intend to do so.” Also towards the end, she requested the managing team of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2020 to look into the matter and she would extend support to get a clean chit on the matter.
