Not just the common man, even the celebs are suffering from the aftermath of Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank fraud case. Television actress Nupur Alankar has opened about suffering financial crisis after PMC bank collapse. The situation is so bad for this ‘Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo’ actress that she has resorted to borrowing money from friends and has even sold off her jewellery in order to sustain her family.

Sharing her struggles, Nupur told Times of India, “I am facing a major financial crisis. I had accounts in other banks, too, which I transferred to this ( Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative) bank a few years ago. Little did I know that my family members — mother, sister, husband, sister-in-law and father-in-law — and my life savings will be frozen like this.”

With almost all her money frozen in the bank and none of credit or debit card working, Nupur was left with no choice but to sell off her jewellery and borrow money from friends and colleagues.

Nupur further added, “With no money at home and all our accounts frozen, I was left with no option, but to sell off my jewellery. I had to, in fact, I borrowed Rs.3,000 from a fellow actor. Another one transferred Rs 500 for my commute. So far, I have borrowed Rs. 50,000 from friends. There is no clarity when the problem will be resolved and we are scared that we will lose our money.”

The actress also revealed that one of her family members needed immediate medical attention but they were unable to admit them in a hospitable due to cash crunch.

For the unversed, apart from ‘Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo’, Nupur has also worked in shows like ‘Phulwa’, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Swarigini’ to name a few.
