Television actress Ridhi Dogra is heartbroken by uncle Arun Jaitley’s death

Former Finance Minister of India and veteran politician Arun Jaitley breathed his last yesterday (August 24). Jaitley was hospitalised in All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi on August after he complained of breathlessness. He was in critical condition and put on life support. Unfortunately, he left for the heavenly abode at the age of 66.

People from all walks of life offered condolence on the death of Bhartiya Janta Party’s senior leader. Television actress Ridhi Dogra, who also happens to be Arun Jaitley’s niece, is devastated by his death. She took to the microblogging site to share her grief.

Dogra has worked in television serials like ‘Savitri’, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Woh Apna Sa’. Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet on the demise of Arun Jaitley, Ridhi shared a broken heart emoji.

Jaitley is Ridhi’s paternal uncle. In 2017, on the occasion of her uncle’s birthday, Ridhi had shared a few images with him alongside the caption, “Warmest birthday wishes to you Arun fufaji @arunjaitleyWishing you best of health and happiness always. Thank you for being an incredible source of inspiration to me and our entire family (sic).”

In 2014, when Jaitley was contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar, Ridhi alongwith her brother Akshay Dogra and ex-husband Raquesh Bapat had even campaigned for her uncle.
