‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’: Neha Mehta aka Anjali and Gurucharan Singh aka Roshan have quit the show for THIS reason

Owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, the shooting of shows and films had come to a halt. It was only recently when after the lockdown rules were eased, shootings of the shows and films were resumed. ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (TMKOC) was one of them however soon after the show went on air post lockdown, rumours of its prominent actors Neha Mehta and Gurucharan Singh quitting show were rife.

It was recently confirmed that both Neha and Gurucharan are indeed leaving the show. Read on to know why they quit the popular sitcom.

Neha has been a part of the show for 12 years TMKOC. She plays Taarak Mehta’s wife Anjali Mehta. Reportedly, Neha quit TMKOC as she has apparently bagged another show. Now according to a report in The Times of India, actress Sunayana Fozdar will be stepping into Neha Mehta’s shoes. Fozdar will start shooting for the show from today. She has previously worked in shows like ‘Left Right Left’, ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’, ‘Qubool Hai’ to name a few.

Similarly, actor Balvinder Singh Suri will play the new Roshan in TMKOC. Suri is known for playing the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s friend in the film ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. He also featured in films like ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’ and ‘Dhamaal’ to name a few.

Gurucharan Singh has apparently quit the show owing to some family issues. Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has also come on board for the show.
