TikTok ban India

The Government of India recently announced its decision to ban more than 50 Chinese apps in the country. From the TikTok to UC Browser, all the apps developed by China have been banned.

In India, TikTok enjoys a huge number of subscribers right from commoners to celebrities used it to upload funny contents on the app and now that has been banned several celebs have lauded the decision. Television celebrities like Kamya Panjabi, Rashami Desai, Nia Sharma and several others welcomed the move.

Rashami Desai took to her Instagram account to share a video where she spoke about the ban. The caption read, “Let’s be united please ??Can we be a responsible citizen and support the current situation instead of just playing blame games and trolling one and other ?#LetsBeUnited #India #ProudIndian #SupportIndia #ThisTooShallPass ?(sic)”

Kamya Panjabi took to her Twitter handle to lend her support to the government’s decision to ban Chinese apps. She shared a tweet that read, “Finally #tiktok has been banned by the #Indiangovernment well done ????” and she wrote, “Superbbbbbbb ?????? @PMOIndia excellent news #JaiHind BoycottChineseProducts #BoycottChineseApps”

Nia Sharma took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Thank youu for saving our country. This Virus named Tik tok should never be allowed again! ?”

Kushal Tandon was also supportive of the ban on Chinese apps.“?‍♂️?‍♂️?????finally ❤️” he wrote.
