TMKOC: Ghanashyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka REVEALS his last wish amid cancer battle

Recently fans of the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah were in for a huge shock when Ghanashyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka revealed that he is battling cancer. This piece of news left Nattu Kaka’s fans concerned. But Ghanashyam Nayak is not letting the cancer battle get better of him. The veteran actor is currently undergoing chemotherapy and has also resumed shooting for TMKOC. The 77-year old actor also revealed that he is doing fine and that his last wish is to die with makeup on.

Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, Nayak said, “My health is fine, but the treatment had to be started again. Currently, I am undergoing chemotherapy sessions. It was after four months that I shot a special episode for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in Daman last week. Believe me, I enjoyed it a lot.” The actor also said that he wants to work until his last breath.

Last year in September, Nayak was detected with a lump in his neck. The actor had undergone surgery and around eight lumps were removed from his neck. It was in April this year, that his cancer diagnosis was confirmed and ever since then he has been undergoing chemotherapy.

Nayak is extremely happy to resume work and is enjoying what he loves the most i.e acting. For the unversed, the TMKOC actor has worked in 350 Hindi serials and around 200 Gujarati and Hindi films. He has even shared screen space with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
