In response, Mallika took to Instagram, posting a video where she addressed the controversy with her characteristic sass. She said, “Hello guys, we need to address the most important issue right now — my green dress. Mujhe toh realize hi nahi huwa ki meri dress itna bada topic of discussion ban jayegi (I didn’t even realize that my dress would become such a big topic). If my dress, my figure, my glamour is causing a little bit of jealousy, I understand. Enjoy!”

She further captioned the video, “Dress meri, discussion sabka,” emphasizing that her dress was the center of attention and that she wasn’t bothered by the chatter, instead turning it into a confident statement of empowerment.

What Did Shalini Passi Say?

Shalini Passi, during a conversation with other women on the show, claimed that she had previously worn a similar green and gold Dolce dress and suggested that Mallika was not being truthful about her own attire. She mentioned having worn custom-made dresses since she was 17-18, including a Versace couture and an Elie Saab gown, challenging Mallika’s claims about her dress on the show.
