Uorfi Javed in legal trouble, after her FAKE arrest stunt backfires – details inside

Earlier on Friday, Uorfi Javed grabbed attention for a shocking reason. A video of her getting arrested on the streets went viral on social media. Turns out, the video was fake. The Mumbai Police has lodged a case against Uorfi and four others for creating and sharing a fake video that shows the social media influencer getting arrested.

Case registered against Uorfi Javed for her fake video

In the video video, two women dressed as cops are seen taking Uorfi into custody after she comes out of a cafe. When Uorfi asks them the reason behind her arrest, the women says, ‘Itne chote chote kapde kaun pehenke ghumta hai (Who roams around wearing such a short dress?).” According to India Today, Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishnakant Upadhyay later said that no arrest was made.

Now, Mumbai Police tweeted, “One Can’t Violate Law of the Land; For Cheap Publicity! A video video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police, in a case of obscenity is not true – insignia & uniform has been misused. However, a criminal case has been registed against those involved in the misleading video, at Oshiwara Pstn under sections 171, 419, 500, 34 IPC. While further investigation is on, the fake inspector is under arrest & the vehicle has been seized too #RealityCheck.”

Uorfi has always been in the news for wearing bold clothes. Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Uorfi shared her thoughts on fashion. She told us, “I am no one to judge. Honestly, I feel to each its own. Mujhe jo pehanna hai Main pehnungi, baki jisko jo pehenna hai its their choice. Fashion is very personal. I think what I wear is fashionable. People do judge, but sadly its their choice. Later, they will realise. You don’t want to be judges but you are judging people.”
