‘Sarbjit’: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda turn friends with agony in song ‘Dard’
Ever since the trailer of soon to be released Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Sarbjit‘ was out, everyone turned curious to get more glimpses of this biopic which looked upon narrating a deserving human emotional story of Indian farmer Sarabjit Singh and his family. After turning all teary-eyed with their previous soulful track ‘Salamat’, the makers are bound to stun you with another emotionally connecting song titled ‘Dard’.
As the title suggests, this song perfectly narrates the agony and suffering faced by Sarabjit Singh while he is continuing his jail sentence in Pakistan. Similarly, the pain of his family waiting for him to return home is shown with right impact. The song is beautifully composed by Jeet Gannguli with effective and heart-wrenching lyrics penned by Jaani and Rashmi Virag. ‘Dard’ could be easily counted among singer Sonu nigam‘s best songs as his voice is bound to make you cry.
Visually, director Omung Kumar should be credited for these powerful visuals which keep his narrative hold in a song as well. He couldn’t have achieved this for sure without actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha who are literally not playing, but living the parts of Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit Singh, Sukhpreet Kaur respectively.
‘Sarbjit’ also stars actor Darshan Kumar in a pivotal part. It is slated to release on May 20, 2016.
