Janhvi Kapoor to make her South debut with ‘Pink’ remake?
Filmmaker Boney Kapoor is all set to produce the Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan‘s gripping film social drama ‘Pink’. The film that released in 2016, also starred Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu and Andrea Tariang in significant roles. Now, the Tamil remake of this hit film will be helmed by H Vinoth. South superstar Ajith Kumar and Vidya Balan have been confirmed for the south remake.
If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then Boney’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor too will be starring in this yet-to-be-titled remake. Yes, according to a report in Bombay Times, Janhvi will play a cameo in the film. Reportedly, the film’s makers are trying to incorporate Janhvi’s part in the film by making certain changes in the script.
For the remake, actress Shraddha Srinath will be stepping into Taapsee Pannu’s character, while Ajith will be reprising Amitabh Bachchan‘s role. Confirming the reports of Vidya being a part of this film, Boney Kapoor had told Mid-Day, “I wouldn’t call it a special appearance. There are certain changes that the director H Vinoth has incorporated to suit the Tamil market, and Vidya’s character has been accordingly written.”
It was reported last year that it was late actress Sridevi‘s wish to rope in Thala Ajith in the remake. And now if the reports of Janhvi too being a part of this project turns out to be true, then the film will become all the more special for producer Boney.
However, with no official announcement made regarding the same, all we can do is wait and watch.
