‘Narcos’ makers upset with ‘Mirzapur’ stealing its thunder?
The box office clashes have become a common thing now in the showbiz. Now with the emerging competition in the business, a new kind of clash will be witnessed. This November international series ‘Narcos’ and ‘Mirzapur’ are all set to clash as both are releasing on the same day ie. on 16th November.
The first season of ‘Mirzapur‘ will start streaming digitally on Amazon’s Prime Videos and the Netflix will be airing the fourth season of its much-liked show ‘Narcos’.
Both the shows are set in the similar backdrop of crime, the drug deals which feature the violent characters. The only difference in both the series will be a cultural change. As ‘Narcos’ is set against the international background, while ‘Mirzapur’ is set in the backdrop of India and the show will bring the enrooted characters from the heartland.
Earlier as the digital platforms have enjoyed the lesser pressure of box office numbers, now the giant clash is a sign of the beginning of competition on the OTT platforms. Now we got to know that the makers of ‘Narcos’ are now uncomfortable with the clash.
‘Narcos: Mexico’ is eagerly awaited as the series takes the fourth season forward with the story of the drug cartels. On the other side, ‘Mirzapur’ has created an immense buzz with the business of guns and drugs under the disguise of the carpet market, ruled by Kaleen Bhaiyya in the series.
‘Mirzapur’ has an ensemble cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Amit Sial.
