Sanjay Farhan Ajay movie

Sanjay Dutt recently launched the trailer of his comeback flick ‘Bhoomi’. The trailer has received a great response and everyone is waiting to see Sanjay Dutt back on the big screen. While he has already signed his next after ‘Bhoomi’ titled ‘Malang’, here’s one more good news for his fans. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the actor has been reportedly roped in to star in Ajay Devgn’s next production venture in which he will share screen space with Farhan Akhtar.

The movie is said to be a remake of 2014’s Tamil flick ‘Jigarthanda’. Reportedly, Sanjay will be seen as a gangster and Farhan will play the role of an ambitious filmmaker.

A source revealed, “Ajay Devgn and the film’s co-producer Abhinav Shukla had bought the rights of the film last year. At that time Nishikant was keen to cast Ajay in the role of the don and Arjun Kapoor in the role of the assistant director but things didn’t work out. Ajay won’t be acting in the film at all but only be seen as a producer. Now Farhan has been approached to play the aspiring director and Sanjay the ruthless don. They have liked the story and concept and are now waiting for the final narration of the script by next month. It’s a stylish action drama with the right dose of comedy and emotions and will have both the actors in exciting get up and looks.” (Also Read: Sanjay Dutt keen to do ‘Munna Bhai 3’ after ‘Bhoomi’)

“In the Tamil film, Karthik (played by Siddharth), an ambitious film director who is thrown out of a reality show on new filmmakers’ as his short film is disappointing. He believes he has the stuff to be a great director and plans a film based on the life and times of the notorious gangster Assault Sethu (played by Bobby Simha). Karthik makes his film and Sethu gets the shock of his life as Karthik has made his film a comedy – making Sethu a guy who achieves everything in life by crying. The film then shows how this incident changes both Karthik and Sethu’s lives and them too which they realise when they bump into each other in a final face-off. While the characters of the don and AD remain the same, Nishikant is making some script and screenplay changes for a more pan-Asian appeal,” added the source.

Well, if this is true then it will be interesting to see Sanjay and Farhan on the big screen together.
