Sunny Leone looks like a hippie-cum-anarkali bride at the BT Fashion Week 2017

We’re all way past that fashion era of getting all decked up and looking like a Christmas tree with an overdose of eye-catching elements. There’s some grace in keeping things ‘sane’, which doesn’t necessarily mean understated all the time. In Sunny Leone’s case, that’s exactly what’s on our mind.

The actress recently walked the ramp for designers Riyaz and Reshma Gangji’s label ‘Libas’ at the Bombay Times Fashion Week, which was held in Mumbai. While Sonakshi Sinha managed to get us drooling over her goddess look earlier when she turned showstopper for Shane and Falguni Peacock, we were taken aback with Sunny’s outfit and overall look.

There is too much going on with this attire. The intense blue lehenga and off-shoulder choli had heavy gold embroidery all over, but the pale blue net dupatta with ruffles on the borders looked like a complete mismatch. And as serious as we want to sound right now, our instant reaction to her avatar is closer to being entertaining than fashion police-like! Umm, well we think she looks like a hippie who aspires to be the filmy, Mughal-E-Azam-esque Anarkali, but is forced to wear a lehenga as that’s the fashion crime the designers were planning to commit. If you take a close look, she’s sporting a hippieish braided hairstyle with the ethnic attire. Who does that, especially to the crown area hair? The actress was also seen donning heavy kundan jewellery that included a choker, a multi-layered long necklace, earrings, and wait the list doesn’t end! She wasn’t satisfied with the hideous hairdo, so she wore a confusing anarkali-style head chain cum pasa on one side. And what’s with the cakey makeup and glossy red lips? Honestly, this attire is gorgeous and would have worked wonders if the actress kept the look simple. Don’t you agree?
