Akshay Kumar Jokes He’s Never Read A Book In His Life; Says, “Meri Wife Writer Hain Aur Mujhe…”

Akshay Kumar has a witty humour and the same is evident in both his on-screen and off-screen interactions. The actor – who is currently hosting the game show Wheel of Fortune, made a confession that is sure to make his fans chuckle and prove why Khiladi Kumar’s humour is on another level. During the upcoming episode of the show, Kumar opened up about his reading and how it is the complete opposite of his writer-wife, Twinkel Khanna. Scroll below to read what he wrote.

Akshay Kumar Reveals He’s Never Read A Book In His Life

While interacting with one of the contestants on the show, Yash, Akshay Kumar revealed he’s never read a book in his entire life. The revelation happened when the host was introducing the Yash – a Marine Engineer by education and profession, but also someone who has been working as a cartoon scriptwriter and an anchor for the Mumbai Indians.

Impressed by his journey, Akshay responded, “So basically, you are a writer.” That’s when the conversation took an unexpected turn. Akshay candidly admitted, “Aapko pata hai maine zindagi mein aaj tak ek bhi kitab nahi padhi hai. Main chehre padhta hoon. Sach bataun, meri wife writer hain aur mujhe lagta hai woh din mein ek kitab zaroor padhti hain. By God, maine ek bhi kitab nahi padhi. Maine sirf chehre padhe hain. Sach kehta hoon, chehre se badiya kitab koi nahi hoti.” The honest and humorous confession left everyone amused, adding yet another memorable moment to the show.

During their interaction, Yash also revealed that he has written for several cartoon shows and has penned three projects for Rohit Shetty – Golmaal, Little Singham, and Simmba. With a touch of humor, he said he is now waiting to write for Sooryavanshi too. The contestant said, “Helicopter pakad ke Sooryavanshi ki entry ho, main uske liye bhi likhu.”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar Priyadarshan’s upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. He will also be seen playing the lead Welcome to the Jungle and Haiwaan.
