Amitabh Bachchan Donation Pulwama Martyrs Families

February 14 is a black day for India as the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir had a terror attack. From common people to Bollywood celebs and politicians, many have condemned the incident with the strongest of words. The entire nation is mourning the death of the CRPF martyrs. Amitabh Bachchan is donating Rs 5 lakhs to the family of 40 jawans who sacrificed their lives for the country. The total amount is Rs 2 crore that would be donated by the superstar.

Reports suggest that the actor is currently finding out from Government of India sources about how the said amount will be distributed. Confirming the news, Mr. Bachchan’s spokesperson told ZoomTV.com, “Yes, Mr. Bachchan will be giving Rs 5 Lakh to each of the martyr’s families and is currently finding out the correct process to do so.”

As per a report in Pinkvilla, the ‘Pink’ actor canceled an event of himself yesterday where he was supposed to be the special guest. It was Virat Kohli’s Foundation event. This is not the first time that Amitabh Bachchan is donating. Earlier too, we have seen him donating Rs. 1 crore to the families of martyrs and he also donated Rs 1.5 crore to waive off loans of farmers.

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Badla’ that has Taapsee Pannu. Also, he will be seen in Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra’ that has Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
