Amol chose not to confirm or deny the news, and with a smile, he said to ETimes, “Today, I will choose not to answer. But don’t hate me if I change my mind in a week.” He explained that their appearance at the event was not meant to make a public statement; it was just a gathering of close friends and family.

“People assumed it was official, but it wasn’t,” he said. Amol also shared his views on how relationships are often used for publicity in the entertainment world. He revealed that PR teams have even suggested creating fake relationship stories to grab attention. “Even if a relationship doesn’t exist, people will make it up. But I want people to talk about my work,” he added.

Talking about fame and privacy, Amol said that as actors become more popular, people naturally grow curious about their personal lives. “You can’t fight it,” he admitted. He also shared a concern: “Maybe the fear is that the relationship will become part of my identity.”

Amol was recently seen in Gram Chikitsalay, while Konkona’s last appearance was in Anurag Basu’s film Metro In Dino. While he didn’t give a clear answer about the relationship, Amol made it clear that his main focus remains his work and not rumours.
