Veteran actors Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah were quite good friends at a certain time but things turned bitter when they succumbed to name-calling on social media. The two actors have worked together in movies like ‘Karma’, ‘Lootere’, ‘Pestonjee’, ‘Aiyaary’, ‘Agnichakra’, ‘Tridev’ and ‘A Wednesday’ to name a few. But, looks like Anupam has let bygones be bygones and said that he would like to give Naseeruddin a warm hug someday.

Naseeruddin Shah had accused Anupam of being a “clown” and “sycophant” as their views on the CAA bill did not match. And Anupam had hit back at Shah saying he is a ‘frustrated substance user’. He had also said that he is in good company since Shah had criticized everyone from Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan to Virat Kohli in frustration.

But, in a recent interview with BollywoodLife, Kher said, “I feel sad. Of course, you feel sadness when relationships break down after having spent a great amount of time together. But that doesn’t only happen with costars — it happens in life sometimes with the best of your relatives, with your best friends…you go on to different things, that’s the tragedy of life.”

He further added, “I remember only the great times I’ve spent with Mr. Shah. I have learned a lot from him, he was my senior at drama school, and I have nothing against him in my heart, frankly speaking. I would love to meet him and give him a nice warm hug because at the end of it, life is too short to keep prejudices in mind. I did feel hurt for whatever he said and I gave him a reply I thought was appropriate the time. But we have to move on; if we keep grudges in our mind our entire life, it’ll affect our health more than anybody else.”

Well, we hope that these two work their differences out and amaze the audience once again with their stellar performances again.
