Posting a video captured before police intervened, Hanumankind wrote, “Right before the cops started firing tear gas and beating people with sticks.” The footage showed protesters waving the Indian flag and raising slogans before the situation escalated.

About The Protest
The CJP protesters have been at the protest site at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar since June 6. They are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the irregularities in the NEET exam. Educationist and activist Sonam Wangchuk had been on an indefinite hunger strike there. It was before he was detained and shifted to a hospital citing a deteriorating health condition.
