Anupam Kher attends Robert De Niro’s birthday bash, meets Martin Scorsese!

Anupam Kher has added many feathers in his cap. The veteran actor has worked in quite a few Hollywood films. The power-house performer has even shared the screen space with one of the most popular and celebrated Hollywood actor, Robert De Niro in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’.

Recently, as Robert De Niro celebrated his 75th birthday, the actor threw an exclusive party which was attended by Anupam Kher. And guess what? Anupam even met the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese!

Sharing his excitement over being invited for this bash and also meeting Martin, Anupam took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “It was my privilege & honour to be invited to an exclusive 75th birthday party of Mr. #RobertDeNiro. Meeting #MartinScorsese & having a conversation with him was a lifetime bonus. I was happy to give Mr. De Niro a copy of #BhagwadGita & a small #LordGanesh idol. And that is not all friends, Anupam gifted Robert De Niro a copy of Bhagwad Gita and an idol of Lord Ganesha.

After seeing Anupam Kher bonding with these iconic personalities, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt who had launched Anupam Kher in Bollywood took to Twitter and wrote, “Anupam Kher presents an image of Lord Ganesh & the Bhagwad Gita to Robert De Niro on his 75th Birthday. Who says the age of ‘miracles’ is over. This young man whom I cast in ‘Saaransh’ as a 70 yr old school teacher when he was just in his late 20’s has come a long way.”

Anupam has found a great friend in Robert De Niro, as both of them have been seen bonding on several occasions. In fact, last year, De Niro had hosted a surprise dinner at his residence celebrating Anupam’s birthday. Now wasn’t that so sweet of him?
