The Indian music industry suffered some huge losses this year with the passing away of legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Bappi Lahiri, KK and Sidhu Moose Wala. While the whole nation is mourning the losses of stalwarts like these, everyone is doing it in their own way. Some people are remembering them by honouring their work and paying tributes to them, and Ayushmann Khurrana has joined that list now.

Yesterday was World Music Day and in the late hours of the day, Ayushmann Khurrana put up a reel with a soothing classic music from Kshmir by Nilotpal Sinha to remember KK, Lata Mangeshkar and Sidhu Moose Wala with their pictures. Along with the three late stalwarts, the reel featured a pictorial collection of different things including a picture of Ayushmann holding a mic, his image with his buddies, a guy staring into space, a computer, a film poster with a picture of Kishore Kumar and a quote saying, “We must try to come up with new unrecognizable techniques, resembling nothing that’s come before”.

Along with the video, Ayushmann shared that he is back at his music and these are pictorial elements of his next musical outing with his buddies that will be coming very soon. He wrote, Jamming with my buddies to come up with something heartfelt yet new age very very soon! Sharing the pictorial yet symbolic elements of our next. But on this #WorldMusicDay… (sic)”

The actor also penned down a heartfelt poem in Hindi for the lost legends that just touched hearts. It read, “अपने नग़मों की क्या बात करूँ, इनके नग़मों से ख़ुशी है. किससे क्या सौग़ात करूँ, इनसे ही दम क़शी है. (sic)” The actor also took to his Instagram stories to reveal that the picture of him holding the mic is actually his screen saver as well.

As for the music maestros in his video, Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6 this year at the age of 92 due to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Singer KK passed away on May 31 owing to a cardiac arrest that he suffered from right after a stage show whereas Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants on May 29.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann was last seen in the political thriller Anek and will next be seen in the social comedy Doctor G with Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah, followed by An Action Hero.
