She expressed her frustration with the “bizarre” conversations surrounding women’s bodies, highlighting how society expects women in their forties to look like they are in their twenties. Bipasha said to Elle India, “The conversation around women’s bodies is quite bizarre even now. Magically, when you give birth, you are supposed to get back into the shape of your twenties even when you are in your forties. What’s expected of a 20-year-old is expected of a 40-year-old.”

Also she pointed out that women who don’t quickly regain their shape are subjected to “massively brutal” trolling. Bipasha admitted she experienced this firsthand after welcoming her daughter, describing her experience as “major, major trolling.”

Additionally, Bipasha shared that paparazzi often captured “really bizarre pictures” of her during this phase. It doesn’t consider the physical and emotional effort involved in adjusting to motherhood. She emphasised that society rarely acknowledges the struggles of new mothers, instead expecting them to “bounce back” effortlessly. “Nobody really cares. Everybody expects you to bounce back,” she said, pointing to the unrealistic expectations imposed on new mothers.

Bipasha and her husband Karan Singh Grover married on April 10, 2016. They met on the sets of Alone and dated for some time. The couple welcomed their daughter, Devi, in November 2022. The actress continues to advocate for more realistic conversations about motherhood and women’s bodies.
