Bollywood celebrities mourn the death of theatre personality Alyque Padamsee

Alyque Padamsee, noted ad guru and theatre personality, died in Mumbai today. The multi-talented Alyque Padamsee was 90 years old. He was best known for his role as Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1982 historical drama ‘Gandhi’. As the head of Lintas India, he was credited for building it into one of the top advertising agencies in the country.

Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter and offered their condolences. Here are some of the reactions:

Alyque Padamsee’s daughter Shazahn Padamsee has acted in Bollywood films. Bollywood and theatre have lost a great personality in Padamsee. May God give enough strength to Padamsee’s family to cope with tough times.
