This year Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations are not as grand as the previous years. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, people are keeping it simple rather than celebrating with pomp and show. Our Bollywood celebs had also brought home idols of Ganpati Bappa and as per the rituals, many have bid adieu to Bappa on the second day of the festival.

Hrithik Roshan’s family bid farewell to Lord Ganesha. The actor’s mother, Pinkie Roshan, shared pictures on Instagram from their eco-friendly Ganesh visarjan. Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “#Tradition . Family . Love . And my sweetest lord Ganesha . Thank you for always protecting us from evil.” The pictures featured Hrithik, Sussanne, their kids – Hrehaan and Hridhaan, Pinkie, Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik’s sister Sunaina and another family member posing as they immersed the idol into a bucket of water.

Salman Khan, his rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur and other family members gathered at Sohail Khan’s residence on Sunday evening for the visarjan. Also, sister Arpita Khan Sharma, her actor husband Aayush Sharma, Salman’s other sister Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri, father Salim Khan, mother Salma Khan, Helen and brothers Sohail and Arbaaz Khan were present. Salman was in a lavender shirt and black pants, while Iulia was in a light green suit. Everyone was seen maintaining social distancing and they were performing puja before the visarjan.

Apart from Salman and Hrithik, Shah Rukh Khan had also bid farewell to Bappa as his post read: “Prayers and visarjan done… This #GaneshChaturthi, may Lord Ganesha bestow upon you and your loved ones, blessings and happiness… Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
