Brahmastra-Part One: Shiva released in theatres worldwide on September 9. The movie starred Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna among others. Director Ayan Mukerji’s film has got mixed reviews by critics and audience. The VFX has been highly appreciated and also the music is being loved. The actors’ performances are also raved but many criticised the dialogues and writing being not up to the mark. Ayan has addressed it in his recent interview.

Ayan, in an interview with Indian Express said that he heard about the criticism and also asked if the dialogues were poor throughout the film. When he was said that it was in the love story part of Alia and Ranbir, Mukerji said, “The feedback from audience, critics is very important to shape what we do in the future. I am learning from everything. The love story was all my desire. To create this idealistic love story in the fantasy world”.

He added, “I thought this would give the film a soul. That the greatest energy comes from within you and the greatest form of energy is when you are in a state of love. It may have sounded better on paper than it came across to certain people.”

Ayan gave the example of the film’s first song, Kesariya that when it came out, he received criticism for the Love Storiyan part for the first 48 hours. He added, “The song continued to be a blockbuster, and nobody talks about it today. So, point noted. But India has a diverse audience.”
