Chand Mera Dil: From OTT To The Big Screen, Dharma Productions Continues To Back Vivek Soni And His New Age Romances

The production house – along with director Vivek Soni, are all set to offer fans a fresh, modern love story with their soon-to-release drama, Chand Mera Dil.

Starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya in the lead, the upcoming film will shed light on the complexities of relationships through the lens of a modern couple. What’s interesting is, this is Vivek’s third collaboration with Dharma. The previous two times, Soni delivered romantic dramas that won millions of hearts.

Vivek – who has previously delivered films like Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Aap Jaisa Koi with Dharma Production, has proven his mastery when it comes to talking about relationship with a modern lens and not some guidelines established in the 90s. With the above mentioned films, Soni cracked the formula of new-age romances while establishing a balance between the old-school romance and the new-age couples. And now with Chand Mera Dil, the filmmaker is likely to follow the same blueprint, if not tweak it for the better.

The early buzz surrounding the drama spoke about its gentle, emotional tone and relatable storyline. Well, after a look at the teaser, its safe to say the film does have it all as well as soul-touching music and crackling chemistry between the leads Ananya Panday and Lakshya.

Directed by Vivek Soni, Chand Mera Dil aims to offer an emotional yet modern perspective on love. The Lakshya and Ananya Panday-led project – announced in November 2024, was initially set to release in 2025. After facing a couple of delays, the film is now set to release in theatres globally on May 22.
