Confirmed: Bhansali’s ‘Malaal’ goes on floors in Mumbai
Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has launched talents like Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor with ‘Saawariya’, is all set to introduce the new faces in his next ‘Malaal’. It is said that Bhansali is introducing Mizan, son of Javed Jaffery and Sharmin Segal, daughter of Bela Segal.
Bela Segal’s daughter Sharmin has worked in Bhansali’s productions as an assistant for projects like ‘Mary Kom‘ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’. She has learnt acting from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the first schedule of the shooting of the film titled ‘Malaal’ is complete and it will be shot on foreign locations. ‘Malaal’ is being directed by Marathi film director Mangesh Hadawale.
Speaking of Bhansali, the director courted a lot of controversy earlier this year because of his film ‘Padmaavat’. First, the title of the film had to changed. Then, the shows had to be monitored by police personnel. The film didn’t even get released in Rajasthan. Despite all of this, the film proved to be a superhit and was loved by audiences and critics alike.
We hope that with ‘Malaal’, Bhansali doesn’t have to face similar problems. Also, we wish the newcomers lots of luck!
