The outbreak of coronavirus has created a red alert situation in the entire world. The only way to bring it under control is self-isolation or social distancing. The preventive measures are being undertaken by most celebrities and they have been making the most of their ‘star status’ to raise awareness as much as they can. Deepika Padukone recently took the #SafeHands Challenge. But, she was trolled by netizens for wearing a mask inside the house and thereby spreading wrong information.

Deepika took to her Twitter handle to share a video of herself doing the #SafeHands challenge that included her washing her hands with soap. The caption read, “Thank You @DrTedros, for nominating me for the #SafeHands Challenge!#COVID19 surely is an uphill health and public safety task, but all of us are in this fight together! I further nominate @rogerfederer,@Cristiano and @imVkohli to take up this challenge! #coronavirus #StaySafe“.

Now, while Deepika was doing the challenge right but she was wearing a mask inside her home in the bathroom. Netizens could not help but ask her what was the need to wear a mask inside the house when she has self-quarantined herself?

One user asked, “Why would anyone wear a mask at home?” Another commented, “Why are you wearing a mask and sending the wrong message? @WHO advises not to wear a mask if you are not infected.”
