Sana Saeed Reveals Battling Eating Disorder Called Bulimia
In a heartfelt Instagram video, Sana shared her struggles with the disorder and how it affected her daily routine. She explained that reading the book The Bulimia Help Method was instrumental in helping her confront and manage her condition. Sana said, “I cannot constantly want to hide and eat or be worried that someone will enter my room and think that I am overeating. When I started reading the book, I finally understood what the problem was because you are so scared, and you don’t want to face it. I had lived with this for so many years; I thought something was absolutely wrong with me.”
Admitting that accepting her diagnosis was the most difficult part, Sana confessed, “I remember telling myself, ‘Okay, it’s some sort of an eating disorder. But it’s not this,’ because it was so hard to admit I had bulimia. I never heard about it growing up. I wish I had known earlier so I could have addressed it directly.”
In her caption, Sana revealed that she has now fully recovered. She wrote, “I didn’t know I had an eating disorder for years—not because I wasn’t suffering. But because I had no words for it. Nobody talked about it growing up, so I carried it silently and alone. When I finally read about bulimia, I understood what was happening to me. The shame of admitting it took years to overcome, even just to myself.”
She concluded with an encouraging message. The actress said, “I am fully recovered and feel at home in my body and life. If you’re struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or seek support from qualified professionals. You deserve help.”
