Danish Pandor Reveals Real Events Inspired Arshad Pappu’s Killing Scene In Dhurandhar 2

In an interview with Ent Live, Danish Pandor revealed that the intense sequence in Dhurandhar 2 is inspired by a real-life incident, admitting that even reading about it was deeply unsettling. He said that while the event itself was terrifying, as an actor, immersing oneself in a character allows room for understanding and creative interpretation. Talking about the pivotal scene, he said, “When I first read about it, I was shocked, wondering how someone could commit such an act. But as you delve into the character, you start to grasp his mindset and can take creative liberties. Reading that scene made me genuinely excited to perform it. Every actor looks forward to key moments in a film, ones that challenge them and spark curiosity, even amid nervousness and apprehension.”

Danish also discussed his approach to performing the intense sequence in Dhurandhar 2, explaining that he relied on instinct and the director’s guidance rather than overthinking. The actor shared, “I stayed fully in the moment and the situation. After each take, I would look at Aditya Dhar. If he gave a thumbs up, I wouldn’t even check the monitor because I wanted to ensure my director was satisfied. A lot of preparation and improvisation went into executing the scene.”

Danish Pandor Recalls Injuring His Thumb During The Scene

The sequence was not only emotionally demanding but also physically challenging. Danish revealed he injured his thumb while filming, which required two to two-and-a-half months to heal. He said, “In the heat of the moment, I lost a bit of control and hurt myself. The team was very supportive, giving me time to recover.”

From Real To Reel: Inspiration Behind The Brutal Killing Scene

The on-screen sequence is reportedly inspired by the real-life story of gangster Uzair Baloch. Uzair rose to prominence after the death of his cousin Rehman Dakait. Baloch was allegedly involved in the killing of Arshad Pappu in Karachi’s Lyari area. In 2013, Uzair tracked down Arshad Pappu and brutally murdered him. This real-life incident forms the basis of the film’s gripping and violent scene.
