The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Dia Mirza’s ex-manager, Rahila Furniturewala in connection with the drugs case. The agency that has been probing the drug angle since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput grilled Furniturewala on February 4. Karan Sajnani, a British citizen is also arrested by the NCB.

As per news agency ANI, NCB told, “Celebrity manager Rahila Furniturewala and businessman Karan Sajnani accused in connection with a drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput, have been arrested”.

Later, special public prosecutor Atul Sarpande said, “Celebrity manager Rahila Furniturewala and businessman Karan Sajnani sent to judicial custody for 14 days in connection with a drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput”.

The investigating agency earlier also arrested the two for allegedly possessing drugs. Mumbai’s Esplanade Court had sent them to 14-day judicial custody on January 16. On February 2, Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend and director Rishikesh Pawar was also arrested by the NCB for allegedly supplying drugs to the actor through his cook Dipesh Sawant. The agency has also seized many drug-related pictures from Pawar’s laptop.

Many celebs are investigated in the drugs case. Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Rakul Preet Singh and others were summoned and interrogated by the NCB. Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on charges of procuring drugs for Sushant. Also, her brother Showik was taken to jail. Later, they were released on bail. NCB’s investigation led to the Bollywood’s ‘drug nexus’ and many drug suppliers were also taken into custody.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead by hanging on June 14 at his Bandra residence. Currently, the CBI, the ED and the NCB are probing the case.
