DYK, Anupam Kher Shot Dil, Beta At Shah Rukh Khan’s Residence? Actor Says, “I Knew Every Inch Of Mannat”

Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently reflected on his decades-long journey in Bollywood and shared fond memories of working with some of the industry’s biggest superstars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar. Anupam Kher Reveals Shooting At Shah Rukh Khan’s Residence

In a recent conversation with ANI, the actor recalled shooting for Indra Kumar’s Dil at Mannat, the iconic Mumbai bungalow that later became Shah Rukh Khan’s famous residence. “We did the shooting of Indra Kumar’s Dil in a bungalow, which is now owned by Shah Rukh Khan. I know every inch of that place before it became ‘Mannat’. Even after that, I have been to Shah Rukh’s house. I remember shooting a lot of scenes in the bungalow’s drawing room. We had also shot ‘Beta’ over there,” he shared.

Anupam Kher also spoke warmly about his long association with Shah Rukh Khan and the memorable films they worked on together over the years. “I have great memories of working with Shah Rukh Khan. Whether it was Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Chaahat, or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I have great memories,” he said.

The actor further reflected on his collaborations with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, admitting that relationships naturally evolve over time. “I have memories of so many people, and people give you bigger memories. I liked working with Salman. I have worked with Aamir in many films like Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin. Of course, there are some differences, but as life goes on, it gets ironed out,” he shared.

Anupam Kher Recalls Working With Akshay Kumar

Speaking about Akshay Kumar, Kher praised the actor’s discipline, warmth and easy-going nature on film sets. “Akshay is a very funny man. He calls me on my birthday, and I call him on his birthday. We worked on Special 26, and it was amazing. I also loved working with him in Baby. I have worked with him so many times. Akshay is a great guy to work with. I also have a habit of waking up early in the morning, and I arrive on time. Akshay is a very easy person to work with. He has a great sense of charm, a great sense of Punjabi warmth. He is ready to improvise. He has genuine love for me. I think it’s great,” Kher added.

Over the years, Anupam Kher has remained one of Indian cinema’s most respected and versatile actors. From intense dramas to comedy classics, the veteran star has built a filmography that continues to resonate with audiences across generations.
