Talking about Anita, Tusshar said, “Anita is my sister’s (Ektaa Kapoor) friend also. So, I have seen her not too often but I see her off and on. So, the comfort level is the same but we haven’t worked together in many many years. But jab hum mile itna saalo baad (But when we met after years), it was like somebody you know well enough and we kind of continued from where we left off. It wasn’t like a huge time lapse kind of a feeling where you feel awkward or anything like that.”

The actor added, “It was quite comfortable and again it was here and we had to shoot some pictures for the photo frames in the film because she’s my wife in the film and you know to have some pictures in the house where we shot this film, where we shot this character, I have had to do a photo session as husband and wife. So, exactly here only we were sitting and doing all these pictures and yes I still feel nostalgic thinking about the workshops that I did for this film but since it’s not similar to any other character or any other movie.”

Further, talking about their past works together, Tusshar said, “Anita and my films were very bubble gum, very popcorn-ish, Kucch To Hai and Ye Dil they were like campus entertainers, campus love stories, one is an intense love story and one is a more fun love story. So, this is very different. She’s got a special appearance in the film, it’s not like a full-fledged role but my wife’s character so it feels like we’ve really aged.”

Maarrich was released on 9 December, 2022.
