Farhan Akhtar said that he will get down on the streets to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. He believes that everyone should voice out their opinions together than expressing their grief on social media alone. He has posted an elaborate image about it, but it showed an incorrect map of India for which he has now apologized.

Farhan Akhtar took to his Twitter, to post an elaborate explanation of CAA and NRC. Describing with graphics what is the relation between the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizen. The image also shows the map of India that is not quite right as it did not include Jammu and Kashmir in its entirety. So Farhan Akhtar was quick to rectify his mistake and apologize for it.

He wrote that he recently posted a message about a protest meeting on December 19 with a repost of a graphic about the meeting. He said, “I have only just noticed that the map of Indian on the graphic is inaccurate. Every inch and part of Kashmir is a part of Indian and I reject the inaccurate map.” He said, he stands by the text but regrets not noticing this earlier. He gave his sincerest apologies for the oversight.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Toofan’ that is written by Anjum Rajabali and Vijay Maurya. The film is being backed by Farhan Akhtar, Riteish Sidhwani, P.S.Bharathi, and Rajiv Tandon. Farhan will be seen in the role of a pugilist. The film is set to hit theatres on October 2, 2020.
