Farhan Akhtar to pay a one-time alimony to Adhuna

Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani are opting for a divorce after sixteen years of married life. The couple has cited ‘growing apart over the years’ as the reason behind their separation. They have handled their separation from each other in a mature manner and have gone on print to say that they are separating on amicable terms with their children being their main priority.

The couple has even decided to sort their legal issues without any ugly fights or bad blood.

Sources say,  “Farhan has expressed his preference to pay a one-time alimony instead of monthly maintenance. Moreover, Adhuna is apparently keen to retain their family home Vipasana, where she is currently staying with their daughters. She has told Farhan that she has also contributed to making the home, so she’d like to continue staying there instead of looking out for a new place and setting it up all over again.”

Farhan and Adhuna had tied the knot in 2000 and have two children together, Shakya and Akira.
