Govinda Announces Big Screen Comeback With Roopa, Duniyadari; Says, “Now I’m Ready”

Actor Govinda is returning to the big screen with his upcoming films ‘Roopa’ and ‘Duniyadari’. He will be seen opposite newcomer Rani Swarnkar in these projects. Govinda is also producing these films, which are aimed at young audiences. He spoke about his personal and professional life at the press conference. Govinda Announces Big Screen Comeback With Roopa, Duniyadari

Govinda is all set to make his comeback with ‘Roopa’ and ‘Duniyadari’. The veteran star announced the projects today, revealing that he will share screen space with newcomer Rani Swarnkar. Along with acting, Govinda is also producing the films. During the press conference, he discussed both his personal and professional journey, sharing his thoughts on what these projects mean to him.

He said, “Now I’m ready. You’ll see the entire cast soon, we will be announcing it in our next meet. Audience will see a lot of newcomers from UP and Maharashtra.” Talking about the films, he added, “‘Roopa and Duniyadari both will be different kinds of films, especially made for youngsters. Because youngsters start out with a lot of expectations, but sometimes they get lost. I’m going to show the part of Maya that we can in this film. Youngsters shouldn’t feel like people lost in the crowd. They should be confident and grounded to their roots.” (sic)

He further commented on his approach to acting and life, saying, “When I work in films, the world is amazed at how I’m here. I’m not afraid of anything. I don’t shy away from the truth, I sense what’s going to happen well in advance. I tell the truth, people don’t believe me, some even abuse me, saying, ‘Look what I’m saying.'”

Govinda’s Professional Front

Govinda was last seen on the big screen in the 2019 film ‘Rangeela Raja’, where he played a double role. Unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office. In 2022, he appeared in the documentary ‘Naam Tha Kanhaiyalal’. The actor has been away from films for the past seven years. Some of his recent projects include Friday, Aa Gaya Hero, Hey Bro, Happy Ending, Kill Dil, Deewana Main Deewana, and Delhi Safari.

Additionally, Govinda’s wife Ssunita and son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, are also entering the film industry and will be making their debuts in Ekta Kapoor’s films.
