Jaya Bachchan recently questioned late Rono Mukherjee’s son, Samrat Mukherjee, about why he called the paparazzi. Samrat responded that he hadn’t invited them. On Tuesday evening, Jaya Bachchan, along with daughter Shweta Bachchan and Kajol, attended the prayer meet for the late director Rono Mukherjee in Mumbai. The paparazzi were present at the venue, capturing photos and videos of the attending celebrities.
Jaya Bachchan Lashes Out At Paparazzi At Rono Mukherjee’s Prayer Meet
Several social media clips showed an irritated Jaya Bachchan asking the paparazzi to get into her car along with her. As she descended the stairs with Rono Mukherjee’s son Samrat, the paparazzi surrounded her. Frustrated, she turned to Samrat and asked in Bengali, “Eder kano daako? (Why do you ask them to come?)” He replied, “Aami daakini (I didn’t call them).”
In another clip, Jaya and Shweta waited for their car. As Jaya was about to leave, she told the paparazzi, “Chaliye aap log bhi saath mein. Aajaiyye (Come with us. Do come).” She then muttered, “Bakwas sab, gande gande se sab (Nonsense).”
This isn’t the first time Jaya Bachchan has reprimanded the paparazzi. She has publicly scolded them on multiple occasions. In 2023, at Hema Malini’s birthday celebration, she told photographers, “Avi aap log itna direction mat dijiye (Don’t give me so much direction).” During the premiere of The Archies, she also asked the paparazzi not to shout while she posed with Tina Ambani.
Jaya’s Projects
