Kamal Haasan reveals why he accepted the negative role in Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD

Only recently, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone released the teaser of Project K which has now become Kalki 2898 AD. The teaser has got everyone excited as we got to see glimpses of every character in the teaser. Moreover, the teaser seemed to look like it is from the future and that intrigued people. Interestingly, Project K aka Kalki 2898 AD teaser was shown at the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the United States. 

The show was attended by Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Kamal Haasan who presented their big-budget movie. We just came across a video on Twitter where Kamal revealed what made him accept the negative role in Kalki 2898 AD. During the interaction with people, the Indian actor was heard saying, “The reason I accepted this film is because I come from analogous cinema. Without a negative, there’s no positive. So, a negative role is an important role in a film. Two negatives make a positive,” followed by a huge round of applause.

Kamal will play the antagonist in the movie and was reportedly offered Rs 150 crores for his role. However, he said that there is no truth to the reports claiming that.

Deepika Padukone missed the grand launch at the Comic-Con whereas Amitabh Bachchan attended the event virtually. When the Vikram’ actor said, “We are honoured to live with his eternity.” Big B interrupted him and said, “Stop being so modest Kamal. You are much greater than all of us.”

Deepika and Amitabh play pivotal roles in Kalki 2898 AD. Their looks in the movie have left people intrigued. The movie also stars Disha Patani but she was not shown in the teaser.
