Queen Kangana Ranaut always manages to grab headlines. Unfortunately, most of the times, it’s for all the wrong reasons. Recently, the ‘Manikarnika’ actress lashed out at veteran actress Shabana Azmi and even called her anti-national. She even accused the ‘Arth actress’ of promoting ‘Bharat tere tukade honge’ gangs.

Kangana was asked about Azmi’s decision to call for a halt in the cultural exchange between the two countries in the wake of Pulwama attacks. Kangana was quoted saying in Pinkvilla as, “People like Shabana Azmi calling for a halt on cultural exchange, they are the ones who promote ‘Bharat tere Tukade honge’ gangs. Why did they organize an event in Karachi in the first place when Pakistani artists have been banned after Uri attacks? Now, they are trying to save face. The film industry is full of such anti-nationals who boost enemies morals in many ways but right now is the time to focus on decisive actions. Pakistan ban is not the focus, Pakistan destruction is.”

Now, a report in Bollywood Hungama has pointed out that despite talking about destroying Pakistan, Kangana Ranaut’s latest release ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ is still playing in Pakistan’s theatres.

Kangana criticised Shabana Azmi for organizing an event in Karachi despite Pakistani artistes being banned post the Uri attacks. But then, the big question arises – why did the makers of ‘Manikarnika’ decide to release their film in Pakistan? And even after the Pulwama attacks, ‘Manikarnika’ is still playing in the neighbouring country’s screens.

If Kangana is so vocal in pointing out the mistakes of others and labelling them anti-national, then we wonder what she has to say about this now.
