Filmmaker Anurag Basu launched the fiery actress Kangana Ranaut with ‘Gangster'(2006). Over the years Kangana went on to carve a niche for herself in the industry. And it was only recently that the filmmaker announced that he will be collaborating with Kangana again for ‘Imali’. However, the latest buzz suggests that Kangana has walked out of the film.

Sharing about the reason why she had to take this decision, Kangana told DNA that Anurag’s film was supposed to hit the floors in November last year. However, due to the patchwork that she had to do for her film ‘Manikarnika’, Basu’s film got pushed. After, ‘Manikarnika’s release Kangana started shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Panga’. So there was no time left to devote to any other project.

“Anurag and I have spoken about it. I feel extremely bad because ‘Imali’ was giving me an opportunity to work with my mentor again, but I’m on the verge of announcing my own film in a few weeks from now. That has taken a lot of my time and I have conveyed it to Anurag, who understood my situation,” said Kangana to the daily.

Well, if not now we hope this mentor and protege duo gets a chance to collaborate soon in the near future.
