Anurag Basu To Wrap Up Kartik Aaryan-Sreeleela’s Romantic Musical Saga After Ganesh Chaturthi – Report

Kartik Aaryan is having a busy 2025 with multiple films lined up. After finishing a major portion of Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri with Ananya Panday, he is now preparing to complete the final leg of Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated romantic drama co-starring Sreeleela.

Kartik Aaryan-Sreeleela’s Romantic Film Released Date Pushed For 2026

The last shooting schedule for this film will begin in Mumbai right after the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, as per a report in Mid-Day. An insider revealed,“Most of the film is already done. After Ganpati, the team will begin a 45-day non-stop shoot to wrap up the project.”

The movie was earlier expected to release during Diwali 2025. However, Anurag Basu confirmed in July that the release has been delayed. The film is now aiming for an April 2026 release, which falls during the summer holidays—a good time for a romantic film to do well at the box office.

A production team member added, “There won’t be any breaks until Diwali. Post that, we’ll enter the post-production phase. April 2026 seems doable.”

Anurag Basu Clarifies Aashiqui 3 Rumours

There were rumours that Aashiqui 3 was facing delays due to script changes. The director addressed the buzz, clearing the air. Speaking to Mid-Day, Anurag said, “Mohit and I are very close. I’m happy for his film’s success. The only thing our films share is a rockstar male lead. My film’s story is completely different—no one has dementia or any other condition. We’re not rewriting or re-shooting.”

With filming about to resume, fans are excited to see Kartik and Sreeleela’s love story come alive on screen in this fresh take on romance.
