Krushna Abhishek supports Kapil Sharma

So many nights, ‘The Kapil Sharma’ show has filled our drawing rooms with laughter. So, we were in for a sudden shock when news of a drunk Kapil Sharma assaulting Sunil Grover surfaced on the internet.

First in a denial mode, Sunil later took to Twitter and shared a long post, which we could quite call an emotional outburst. Kapil also apologised for hurting him ‘unintentionally’. However, the matter went ahead and Sunil has apparently quit the show.

While fellow comedians Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar lent their support to Sunil and apparently boycotted the show, Kapil has received a shoulder and support from a highly unlikely place. It is none other than Krushna Abhishek, who has a demonstrated history of rivalry with Kapil Sharma, and has now extended hands of support towards the latter. (Also Read: What! “I won’t say Kapil has become too big or success has gone to his head. It’s just that even the small things he does are being blown out of proportion. I have worked with Kapil for five years in Comedy Circus and I know him very well—his good and bad points—and he knows mine. Sunil and Kapil are good friends and friends fight,” he said.

When quizzed on Sunil Grover’s plans of quitting the show, he added, “Koi baat nahi! It maybe that Kapil and I work together soon!”

You might remember how the equation between Kapil and Krushna went ugly after the latter’s ‘Comedy Nights live’ replaced Kapil’s show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’. This even resulted in Kapil moving out of the Colors TV banner.

Bad times indeed turn foes to friends!
